OSRS Hardcore Worlds open November 4 — RWT Games will offer services from launch

Jagex opens one-life Hardcore Worlds on November 4, 2026, with their own economy, trading and Grand Exchange. Here is what we know and what we will offer.
Jagex has announced Hardcore Worlds for Old School RuneScape, opening Wednesday, November 4, 2026. RWT Games will offer services on them from launch.
WHAT HARDCORE WORLDS ARE
From the official Old School news post of October 3, 2026:
- You start a brand-new character on worlds separate from the main game, with a separate economy.
- You get one life. An unsafe death ends that character's Hardcore run. The Fight Caves, the Inferno and Nightmare Zone count as unsafe.
- After a death you choose: reset, or move the character to the main game. You keep your progress and gear, except the items lost on death.
- Player trading and the Grand Exchange are available.
- There are no XP or drop-rate boosts. It runs at the normal pace.
- Jagex presents it as an ongoing game mode alongside the main game, not a boosted seasonal event.
Jagex has not yet published the launch time, the membership requirement, the PvP rules or how creator factions work. It says a dedicated Hardcore Worlds blog is coming.
WHAT WE WILL OFFER
- Gold on the Hardcore economy, as soon as the new economy has formed enough for us to hold stock.
- Power-leveling and questing on your Hardcore character, played by hand.
- Bossing and raids, including the Fractured Archive, the new raid releasing October 20, 2026.
